behind the scenes - digital press room

The Print Group Australia offer both digital and offset printing services, and today we will take a closer look at our digital press room and why we believe digital is the way of the future!

In our digital press room we currently run a Fuji Xerox Versant 2100 with our Plockmatic 50 booklet maker, and we also have a new Fuji Xerox Colour 1000i Press. Both machines are kept busy with our digital print jobs and offer high quality finishes on all of our projects.

The great thing about digital printing technology is that it is ideal for short order runs and very efficient for sorting and collating with quick turnaround times. This works well for our training material printing requirements and is what allows us to offer short run orders for our training clients. Our square edge fold saddle stitched booklets are a popular product as we can saddle-stitch up to 180pp, where typical single fold booklets are limited to about half this size (around 90pp). In addition, the colour quality on the machines offer a professional finish on short order runs that would otherwise be too expensive to send offset.

The technology used for digital printing continues to improve and has really levelled the playing field between small business and large organisations. Digital printing has certainly come a long way and while it is still a relatively new process in the history of printing, it has become the method of choice for many print providers and customers.

We print everything from training booklets, brochures and flyers in all shapes and sizes, ring binder content, pre-cut tabs, booklet covers, postcards, business cards and labels, to name just a few!

When we receive a quote request - whether you need 50 or 5000, we will determine the most cost effective print option for you, digital or offset. Read more about the differences between Offset Printing & Digital Printing on our website.

Digital printing offers businesses more options and with the high-quality output from state-of-the-art digital print presses, there’s no reason not to choose digital printing for low-quantity, high-quality, economical print marketing.

You are welcome to stop by our office and take a closer look at the digital press in action. One of our friendly staff would be more than happy to show you around.
